Hunger Free India-How we can do IT

Hi ,

This being one of the medium to pour our thoughts,am writing this blog to make sure that it helps atleast 1 guy/gal to at least stop thinking of spending lavishly and my intention is not to hurt anyone ,..(though I will :-) )and before I start off with it ,i want to remind you that you are one of the highly previliged 15% of the population in our world,if you are reading it in internet .Now lets get into it.

When I joined in IT on september 2007,I was introduced into a new world of technology, not even a single thing can be done here without MS office. Also here,I came across a new thing called a Treat ,what you may think we had it in College but its quite different here ,how??,…here it goes .in our college treat we made it to any nearby shop to have food or even a juice itself is a treat (golden days na :-) ) and there its more like a gettogether and all mamas and machans will have a great time.

But now in IT ,the treat is totally different. It starts off with the soup ,..which most of the people would have only during treat;-) ,and then comes the starter ,..did i say starter!! no,its a finisher most of the colleagues will order to their max and finish almost all of it and will get full before going into the main course,..ahh now coming to the main course here comes the big challenge ,we would have ordered main course before even we have soup and now we ll be almost done and try to add main course slowly to ur stomach (isn’t it look like a garbage now) and after sometime only we ll realise that we cant eat most of the main course dish ,…do you think now we ll stop,..no!! then comes the deserts,..for new readers Deserts are nothing but juice or ice cream are cake served after lunch,..and you know what ,another round goes for deserts and finally and all the remaining eatables are packed for people staying in mansions or to the guys who couldnt come to treat due to unforeseen circumstance (just work ;-) )

Now lets put a small math on how much we spend for each treat Rs.75 for soup,Rs.150 for starters,Rs.150 for main course ,Rs.100 for desert. And it comes to Rs.475 per person and it may go up or down Rs.50 .So totally 500 for 1 days lunch.Imagine to give treat for 20 colleagues , we are spending 10,000 .Doesnt it look odd ,or Selfish. Have you heard of NREGA plan from our gov ,it assures job to our poor agrarian for 100 daysRs.100 as their daily wage. Now you should have got it, we are spending a farmers 1 year salary for having 1 days lunch,…doesn’t it look ridiculous to you??

Lets look at what are all other ways we are spending lavishly our hard earned money..Treat (Marriage treat ,Bday treat ,onsite treat,Project Treat,Dutch Treat…..phew mudiyala ),Always wearing Branded items (also provoking others;-)), Shopping in Spencers, watching movie only in high end theaters (Satyam ,Inox),…where are we heading to guys,..we are spending as if today the world gonna end.

I dont want anyone to stop spending lavishly,.what i want you to think is atleast to look things in a different perspective and think globally and then start to spend money , if you want to treat ur friends for some achievement or for any occasion ,ask them to come with you and give that money to orphanage or give it to some needy people,..(don’t start giving to charity or trust ,.i personally don’t like these) try give it directly to the needy ,I hope if you look at ur neighbors you ll get better idea ,I just wanna give that money to your needy neighbours( not Pakistan or Srilanka;-) ).Just try it once, you will get a feeling like vijayakanth saving India from terrorists (lol).

Really helping others directly will give us immense satisfaction ,that hours of coding cant (did it looks cynical,i cant help it ).Try sponsoring your maids son/daughter’s education ,not that you are giving full tution fee ,juz give what you can ,or during festival season give them new clothes and look at their face ,..like master card says “There are somethings Money cant buy” that will be ur best treat.

Imagine for ur bday treat ,just start givin packed food to the beggars near ur house OR arrange some anna dhana .Even most of the religion says “save a fraction of your income for the poor” .Its like God cant be everywhere ,he is there in us for helping the poor.

Isnt it looks great to tell that you have sponsored a child’s education than to show ur new ‘Peter England’ or ‘Fasttrack’.Hey who knows you may also get more gf/bf because of this( what are all needs to be written to convey the good ;-) naalu paerukku nallathu nadantha ethuvumae thappilla).

STOP SPENDING LAVISHLY AND START CREATING A HUNGER FREE INDIA.

NOTE : I started to write this blog after attending a BIIG Treat ;-) .Please post your comments .
